Sitting right on the shore of Sunset Bay, this small but mighty cabin offers you all the amenities you could need on a vacation full of nature and lake sport fun! We have taken lots of pride to carefully and tastefully renovate virtually the entire cabin. You will find it charming, clean, and ready for you to relax & enjoy! Nelson Lake is a full recreation lake that offers swimming, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, and some of the best fishing in the region! We have Kayaks available for use and you can rent a pontoon from the neighboring Revelle’s Resort just two minutes away. Play on the lake or go into town to catch a lumberjack show. It’s a quick scenic drive up to Copper Falls State Park where you will experience breathtaking views of the areas largest waterfalls and natural stone canyons. In the mornings, enjoy a cup of coffee on the screened in porch and listen to the loons. Then take a hike or mountain bike ride on one of the endless area trails looking for all types of wild life, berries, and exploring nature in its best form. You will see deer, Fox, birds, maybe a herd of elk, giant snapping turtles and even black bears! In the winter, enjoy a variety of cold weather sports including ice skating, snowmobiling, ice fishing and cross country ski on the lake or take a 5 minute drive to one of the Birkie trail heads. Hayward is the home of the American Birkebeiner, the largest cross country ski race in North America! No matter what it is you desire, if it has to do with the outdoors, Hayward has it. Our cabin is fully stocked and adorably decorated. All you need to bring is your own coffee and charcoal if you would like to use the grill. It has a queen sized bedroom, a second bedroom with a twin over full bunk bed and a pull out sleeper with an additional twin bed. We recommend 4 guests for maximum comfort but the cabin will accommodate up to 6 if necessary. We have now added WIFI! We also have a ton of movies available for you to watch so relax, and unplug! The living room TV has a Google Chrome Cast adapter and most apps and websites will allow you to cast to this device. In May of 2020 we put an addition onto the bathroom and gutted it for a brand new beautiful and spacious bathroom. We also added laundry, we just ask that you bring your own detergent if you'd like to use the washer/dryer. We hope you enjoy our cabin!

The trailhead in Cable is 17 miles from Birch Point, however many trailheads are available south of Cable off of Highway 63 towards Hayward. Retail sporting goods & equipment rentals available on the North side of Hayward. North End Trail Information: Just South of Cable is a wonderful trail system through a gorgeous Northwoods setting. The trails wander over small hills and glacial ridges through a scenic forest of mixed hardwoods: birch, oak, and maple trees; and numerous stands of conifers: red and white pines, spruce, and balsam fir. There are two trails for cross-country skiing. The North End Trail is 13.1 km long with two shorter cutoff loops and is groomed for classic and skate. The North End Classic Trail is 13.5 km long and groomed for classic only with numerous cutoff options. Both trails intersect repeatedly with each other and the Birkie Trail and Telemark Trails to create a massive trail system. Due to the hilly terrain, both North End trails are suitable for those of at least intermediate skills. There are 12.7 km of snowshoe trails, including the Ojibwe Trail. The North End Trailhead is 16 miles from Birch Point. Summer recreation is limitless with boating (utilize our personal dock), kayaking, canoeing, jet skiing, swimming at the Birch Point private beach, and of course fishing! There are hundreds of miles of trails and forest roads winding through the thousands of acres of national, state and county forest in the surrounding area! The Namekagon and Totagatic Rivers are just down the road and provide great paddling and fishing opportunities. The lake also offers good water sports opportunities and the property has ATV access and snowmobile access to the trails. Lots of room for parking You can park your trailers here and ride out directly from the home. Beaver Bay Lodge has everything you'll need to have an awesome Northwoods experience! Peaceful and off the beaten track Beaver Bay is a shallow bay that connects to Nelson lake. The bay offers our guests a beautiful waterfront view and full of bass and northern. The bay is great for kayaking and canoeing and the main lake is about 100 yards from the dock. Because the bay is shallow (about 4-6 feet deep there are a lot of the Lilly pads in the bay during the summer so Beaver Bay isn?t ideal for swimming. Motorboat access from our dock in and out of beaver bay is no problem but you need to trim your motor and go slow for 100 yards until you reach the main lake. We have plenty of guests that bring powerboats when they stay with us so typically there is a clear channel to follow in and out. The nice thing about the bay is that it is very quiet and peaceful during the peak summer seasons because you don?t get the large powerboats zooming by and the jet skies buzzing around all day. Water skiing and swimming are popular in the main lake if you like to do those types of activities. Minnow Jim's Bait and Tackle Shop is 5 minutes away--a great place to learn about what's biting and where. There is a restaurant within walking distance at the end of Four Seasons Road. FISHING DOCK AND BOATING: We have room for up to 3 boats (depending on size). There is a dock with bench, and bumpers for docking boats. We have electricity to the dock for keeping your boat batteries charged. Fish cleaning station is available. PONTOON RENTAL: An 18 ft pontoon is available for our guests at competitive rates. Welcome to our family home. We have enjoyed family reunions here since 1982 when it was first purchased by our parents. Our home is located on the south shore of Nelson Lake with a 100-foot flat frontage making access to the lake relatively easy. We are also located a short walk down the street from Four Seasons Resort, which offers a great restaurant and full-service bar. Nelson Lake offers a variety of activities including fishing, waterskiing, or just cruising around the lake in your boat, pontoon, kayak, or paddleboard. The lake has about 3000 acres of shoreline and several bays that offer great fishing. You’ll likely see bald eagles flying around the lake as well as seeing and hearing the haunting call of the loons. The lake also has 7 resorts that offer great spots to stop and have a bite to eat, launch your boat, or fill up on gas. Our home offers a great place to come and relax lake front, whether it’s viewing the lake from the 4-season’s porch / dining room, outside patio, firepit, or just sitting on the dock. There is a spot to dock your own boat or perhaps take one of our kayaks out for a spin on the lake. We have 3 bedrooms that accommodate 6 people with 2 full beds and 2 twins. In the winter, we have one full bath although there are two showers in it. In the summer, we have 2 full baths available. A full-service kitchen is available and an additional, small refrigerator for drinks is located the entry way. There is a laundry room for any necessary wash, however the clothes washer is only available in the summer due to the frozen septic field in the winter. The dryer, however, is available year-round. We have a large 50-inch TV with cable and WIFI available in the house. There is a fireplace for use in the winter and a grill located in the garage is also available for your use. Our two kayaks are normally kept in the garage. We are a short, 7-mile drive from downtown Hayward. It is a terrific small town with a variety of restaurants and shops, especially the ice cream and candy stores. The area is a favorite vacation destination for mid-westerners. You can enjoy taking the kids to Wilderness Walk, a unique outside park-like walk to see a variety of animals or take them for a float down the Namekagon River. We have terrific public golf course in Hayward that would challenge any private course. There is the annual Lumberjack World Championships and the Birkebeiner, cross-country ski race that brings people to the area from all over. The winter affords great snowmobiling and cross-country skiing as well as ice fishing on the lake.

Clean and comfortable 4 Season Cabin located on Nelson Lake. This cabin has great views of Nelson Lake and is located on one of the most sought after areas on the lake. Nelson lake is a great recreation lake with just under 3000 acres of water as well as 31+ miles of lakeshore. The fishing on Nelson lake is known for it Walleye's, Bass and Panfish with lots of great fishing spots. This cabin is located on 125' of shoreline that is mostly sand with some rocks. The shoreline starts out shallow and then drops off allowing for swimming. There is also a outdoor fire pit as well as a boat house with great views of the lake. The four wheeler trail is just down the street with access from the road. Please note that this cabin has elevation with stairs. Cabin features 1200 sq ft with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, upper and lower living room. 1 Bedroom 1 bath upstairs and 1 Bedroom 1 Bath downstairs. The downstairs was recently remodeled and has a living room that includes a hid-abed allowing for additional sleeping. Outside bunkhouse with additional sleeping is included(Bunk house not available in the winter). The bunk house is in addition to the size of the property. The upper level of the cabin is of original vintage but is nice condition. Additional features include, Wood Burning Fire Place, Deck with Gas Grill, Forced A/C and Heat with Electric baseboard heating for backup, Wifi internet, Smart TV with streaming options, full kitchen with Microwave, Coffee Maker, Stove and Cookwear. We try our best to make sure it has the comfort of home. If additional space is needed for larger groups we do have another lake cabin a few miles away for addition cost. If you are hoping to book for summer, 2022, I will release the available dates on January 15, 2022. This cabin is 2400 square feet, has a beautiful view of the lake, a spacious backyard perfect for yard games, 100 feet of shoreline, a large deck, and a beautiful bar in the finished basement that includes a 55 inch TV. There are 2.5 bathrooms and four bedrooms can sleep 12 comfortably. The breakdown of the bedrooms are: Bedroom 1: King size bed Bedroom 2: Queen size bed plus daybed with trundle Bedroom 3: Queen size bed plus one set of bunk beds Bedroom 4: Queen size bed (this bedroom has no central air and has baseboard heat). The cabin is on Nelson Lake, which is quiet, yet includes access to seven bars and/or restaurants. There is a private dock (May-September) with a nearby boat launch area and boat rentals. This cabin also has direct access to the lake from the backyard, which is ideal for ice fishing in the winter. There is a dumpster on-site for garbage and recycling. Firewood is provided for outdoor firepit. There is a large flat open area perfect for yard games by the lake. Regarding the elevation, there are approximately 20 stairs from the deck to the grassy area and then an elevation to walk down to the flat open area. Also, we spray from mosquitos and ticks on the property so our guests can enjoy the outdoor space with less uninvited guests. Due to the frequency needed to make an impact, pest control visits bi-weekly to spray. The lawn needs to be avoided for roughly an hour during this time. We do not get advance notice of their arrival, so we apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

The spacious Hytter Hus is completely furnished with full kitchen, dining and living areas, fireplace, workout room, 2 bedrooms and one bath on the main level. A spiral staircase connects a large loft that includes a sleeping area, sitting areas, and ping pong table. The house is a unique combination of Scandinavian and Southwest flair with floor an wall tile, woodwork, rocks and bricks, and vibrant colors throughout. The Hytter is easily accessed off Highway 63, is within a few miles of the Birkie ski and CAMBA single track trails, and next to a snowmobile/ATV trail. The Namakagon River and Nelson Lake are within a few miles as well.

Recently remodeled 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin on Smith Lake. This property has a nice lake lot that has low elevation and nice lake frontage. Smith lake is 323 acres with a maximum depth of 31 ft. and specializes in blue gill, crappie, northern pike, large mouth bass and walleye. Smith Lake is a great recreational lake being small enough to not have a lot of traffic but big enough to enjoy all lake recreation. The lake has a very nice Northwoods feel and is close to town allowing for easy access for your needs. This cabin does include the use of a 18' Pontoon with a newer 4 Stroke outboard. Lazy Loon was constructed in 2014. It comfortably sleeps 6. There is a bedroom with Queen size bed, loft with 2 twin beds, and a futon in living area that folds down into full size bed. Beautiful handmade quilts cover beds. Full kitchen consists of beautiful Amish made cabinets from hickory. There is a bathroom complete with shower. Cabin is 75 feet from lake with 100 feet of shoreline. Other homes/cabins surround Smith Lake so site is not secluded. Lake bottom is sandy and water is clear which is perfect for swimming. Pier located on property is perfect for fishing or securing your boat. Great fishing right off the pier for crappy, sunfish, perch, bass, and northern. There is a boat launch close by. Motors are permitted on Smith Lake which allows for great boating, skiing, and inner tubing. There is a fire pit located on the property as well as a small weber grill for your use. Firewood is also on the property for your use. Sunsets can be seen from the dock. Smith Lake is home to loons, eagles, and many other forms of wild life. We are located just 3 miles from Hayward where there is great shopping, dining, and night time entertainment. This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway up north.

Modern timber frame cabin built in 2009. Open floor plan designed for gathering with family and friends. Main level kitchen opens right into the family room with a wood burning stove. The center of the kitchen boasts a timber frame table that seats 10-12. Adjacent to the sitting area is a 'bump out' with extra space for relaxing, napping or sleeping. There is a pass through space in the wall from the entry that allows firewood to be set right next to the wood burning stove. Two sliding glass doors exit the kitchen space to bring you out to the spacious deck or a screened in porch with a gas grill. The second and third levels are lofted and open to the space below. The second level has a bedroom, bath and sitting area with a spiral staircase that will take you up to the loft space. The loft (and the two levels below) offers beautiful views inside and out. We overlook the Namekagon River Valley to the West. We are nestled right up the woods and the Birkie trail to our East and South. The structure of the cabin is concrete. The floors on the main and lower level are concrete. The lower level is encased in concrete which keeps it quiet and holds a consistent temperature. The walls in the lower level are lined with corrugated metal to allow skis and bikes to be moved in and out. There is a bedroom, bunk room, bathroom, wax room (for waxing skis) and sauna in the lower level. The washer and dryer are located on this level as well. There is a walk out that will bring you underneath the deck where there is an outdoor shower and access to the large yard. There is in-floor heat on all levels. The upper levels are heated further by the wood burning stove.

There is a full kitchen, 1 full bath (bring your own towels), TV with cable, and wireless internet available. Relax next to a fire in the backyard (lawn chairs provided) in the summer months and enjoy viewing ducks and geese in the small environmental pond behind the cabin. If you wish to go out and about there are many great restaurants nearby, shopping in downtown Hayward, and skiing on the world famous American Birkebeiner Ski Trail. The Hatchery Creek Trailhead, which has lighted trails, is just 2 miles down highway 77 providing access to the Birkie Trail and CAMBA Mountain Biking Trails. We have been enjoying Hayward for years as a family and truly hope you enjoy our cabin as much as we do!
